Hey there, I am Heather G., as you probably guessed. I have always had a passion for writing and I am so glad you decided to take a look at what I have to offer. Since grade school, I have been writing poems, songs, love letters, and unpublished mini-books... but as anyone with passion knows, sometimes your passion goes unnoticed until you take the time to look for it. As the years went by and reality set in, I realized, it's time for the real world!
After attending Virginia Commonwealth University, meeting my BFF's and experiencing college life to the fullest, I did something unthinkable. I got a JOB (ouch!) While at my first job out of school, I grew utterly bored with the day in, day out shenanigans and I decided to start a hobby. A blog.
I originally started my blog as "just something to do." But little did I know, I began to gain attention from it and even had people asking me to write on topics they were interested in, discuss conflicts they were having, and review products they were too afraid to try, like the epilator (OMG)! After posting religiously, I felt bored with my new found endeavor and decided to take a break from it. My faithful fans were not happy. (I love you guys!!!)
At the end of 2009, I moved to the District of Columbia and I started working in nightlife and promotions. Once again I was on the radar, but in a different way. I was meeting new people, making huge connections, and rubbing shoulders with celebrities and promoters. How fun!?! But as most things had been in my life, I grew bored of it after so long.. so I ventured to do something on my own.
AHG Group, LLC was born.
AHG Group is my event planning and consulting firm and whilst I love having my own company, I am still at the beckon call of my client's needs. In other words, I still have a boss! While I love working with my clients, I wanted to partake in something that I could do in my own time and so I began to blog and most recently, sell cute and trendy must have clothing items too!
